Just read a study from the Asian Journal of Andrology on scrotal temperature and sperm counts. To the group with lowered sperm counts and higher scrotal temperature they added acupuncture, and what they found is a scientifically significant number of these men had a lowering of scrotal temperatures and increases in sperm counts.
