Huang Lian (Rhizoma Coptidis, Coptis Rhizome) - 12g.

-clear heart fire, calms spirit

Huang Qin (Radix Scutellariae Baicalensis, Baical Skullcap Root, Scutellaria, Scute) - 6g.

-clear heart fire, calms spirit

E Jiao (Gelatinum Corii Asini, Ass-hide Glue, Gelatin) - 9g.

-controls heart fire by nourish kidney yin

Bai ShaoYao (Radix Paeoniae Lactiflorae, White Peony Root) - 6g.

-nourish yin, harmonize heart and kidneys

Ji Zi Huang (Egg Yolk) - 2 yolks

-drain fire, nourish blood
